Know What You're Breathing Every Day
I once inspected a home where a family couldn't work out why their son's asthma kept getting worse. The house looked spotless and smelled fine. When I tested the air, it showed high mold spore counts inside the vents. They cleaned the system, and within weeks, he was sleeping better.
You can't always see what's in your air. Pollutants build quietly and can cause fatigue and headaches without you knowing where it's coming from. Testing helps you understand what's really circulating through your home before you spend years breathing it in.
What the Test Includes
Each inspection measures several air quality factors that affect health and comfort. The process is quick, non-invasive, and provides verified lab results you can actually understand.
Mold Spores
Detection of airborne fungal growth and mold spores that can trigger allergies, asthma, and respiratory issues.
Volatile Organic Compounds
Testing for VOCs from paint, new materials, cleaning products, and furnishings that can cause headaches and long-term health effects.
Combustion Gases
Detection of carbon monoxide and other dangerous gases from heating systems, appliances, or attached garages.
Dust & Particulates
Measurement of dust, pollen, pet dander, and fine particles that can irritate airways and affect indoor air quality.
Moisture Levels
Assessment of humidity and moisture conditions that encourage mold growth and create an unhealthy environment.
Ventilation Assessment
Evaluation of air circulation and ventilation systems that can trap stale air and allow pollutants to accumulate.
What You Get
When you book a test, you get answers you can actually use. I send a report that explains what's going on in your home, backed by photos and readings that make sense even if you're not technical.
Results are typically available within 3-5 business days after the laboratory receives your air samples. You'll receive a detailed report via email that explains each finding in plain language, along with recommendations for improving your indoor air quality if needed.
If air quality issues are detected, I'll walk you through what it means and your options. Many problems can be resolved with simple solutions like improving ventilation, cleaning HVAC systems, using air purifiers, or addressing moisture sources. The report will include specific recommendations based on what we find.
New homes can actually have higher levels of VOCs from fresh paint, new carpets, and building materials. Testing is especially valuable in new construction to ensure off-gassing has subsided and ventilation systems are working properly. It's also important if you or family members have allergies or respiratory sensitivities.
